Steps to enroll with Westech!
Prospective students should apply for admissions as soon as possible to be officially accepted for a specific program of interest and to find out the starting dates.

Educational Programs
Health Insurance Claims
Examiner
This course will prepare the student on how to use the claims processing systems. The student will process actual claims on the system and will learn how to process forms quickly and accurately using the proper reference materials. Graduates will learn the principles and eligibility guidelines for billing Medicare, CHAMPUS and Worker's Compensation.
Medical Biller & Coder
Medical Billing and Coding professionals are an important link in the medical care industry. Professionals in this field are responsible for maintaining medical records, billing and coding for insurance purposes, scheduling appointments and using computer software to achieve work tasks. In this program, students will learn all aspects of the medical billing and coding field.
Medical Assisting
The Medical Assisting program will prepare the graduate for entry-level employment in the field of Medical Assisting. Prospective job titles include: Back Office Assistant, Front Office Assistant (medical), Medical Billing Assistant, Clinical Assistant, Lab Assistant, Medical Customer Service Repersentative and Intake Counselor.
Computer Aided Drafting
(C.A.D.)
This course includes the basic drawing, editing, file management, utility commands and system operations of AutoCADD 2010®. The objective of this program is to prepare the graduate for entry-level employment in the field of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). Prospective job titles include drafter, Junior Drafter, Layout Drafter, Engineering Aide, Engineering Assistant, CAD Operator and CAD Technician.
Computerized Office
Administration (COA)
This course will prepare students with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide qualified assistance to the business world. Students are prepared for careers in the modern office environment such titles include Data Entry Clerk, Office Assistants, Clerical Workers, Administrative Assistants and Personal Assistants.

Computerized Drafting for the Working Professional...
Since 1993, Westech College has been working with the State of California and California's Employment Training Panel to offer State Funded CAD training programs. These programs are offered to engineering, architectural, construction and manufacturing companies in the Southern California region. To date, Westech has trained and advanced over 3,000 professionals from those fields, from over 1,200 companies in the unique CAD related fields below.
MECHANICAL CAD
R.E.V.I.T.
ARCHITECTURAL CAD
CIVIL ENGINEERING CAD
Like everything else, having an understanding in the Basic CAD principles and procedures is a must. The CAD-Mechanical course is designed with the AutoCAD Inventor software. You will learn how to work with parts, creating profiles, equation in dimension, assemblies, creating part drawings, high- powered automation and customization techniques, rotation of design and 3D rendering. Students who excel will have an opportunity to learn SolidWorks! You can become a CAD technician in the mechanical or manufacturing field.
Prior experience in the Architectural or Technical field is a must. This course is for the intermediate professionals that already has hands-on experience and wants to advance themselves for their career. Here you will learn the MEP structure, Applied Revit Architecture, Revit menu functions, views, schedules and commands, advanced family creation and applied parameters. This is where applied techniques meet real world application.
CAD Architectural is a continuation of the Computer Aided Drafting program. Here you will be able to learn architectural drafting by working with the AutoCAD Architectural Desktop software. You will learn how to refine building projects and add more detailed information to your projects. You will learn the techniques to transition from each phase of design to the next without interruption, preparing you as a CAD technician in the architectural field.
You must be familiar with the Principles of Drafting, Computer Procedures and AutoCAD in order to take advantage of CAD-CIVIL.. Here you will learn the basics through the advanced of the Land Development Desktop software and its functionality. This course will teach you the ways of terrain, horizontal and vertical alignment, profiles, cross-sections, parcels, intersection design, Earthworks, knuckles and much more. You will be prepared to become a CAD Technician in the Civil Engineering field.

The Career Services Department will assist all graduates with their job search. Contacts are maintained with local and national companies, as well as our vast database employers who participate in our State Funded Training Programs. Interviews can be coordinated for students and graduates. The Career Services Department will begin assisting the student in their job search by providing a career development seminar and resume writing assistance. Although the school provides placement assistance, Westech cannot guarantee employment.
