COMPUTER
AIDED DRAFTING
PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION
This program emphasizes
the latest software
and techniques that are
currently used in the design/drafting
industry. Students begin
by learning the principles
of drafting, then they
learn how to apply these
skills by using Computer
Aided Drafting. The last
phase of the program, students
will do drafting projects
using AutoCAD. After the
project phase, students
concentrate on one of the
following areas of drafting:
Architectural, Mechanical,
or Civil. After the completion
of this program, graduates
will be able to use CADD
programs to accomplish
workplace tasks in drafting.

• Principles of Drafting
• Computer Procedures
(with technical math as
needed)
• AutoCAD
Students will have
the option of selecting
ONE of the following
areas in drafting:
• Architectural-
(Software: Architectural
Desktop)
• Civil- (Software:
Land Development Desktop / Civil 3D )
• Mechanical - (Software:
Inventor or SolidWorks)*
