InRoads/SelectCAD

Prerequisite: Technical Background

This course is designed to provide knowledge of and experience necessary for a fundamental control of the InRoads/SelectCADD software. This course covers all of the basic core InRoads/SelectCAD Dfunctionality, including terrain model creation and display, horizontal and vertical alignment layout, roadway modeling, COGO, viewing profiles and cross sections, computing earthwork volumes, as well as using the plain and profile generator. The class allows basic and intermediate users of the software to generate engineered results and design components that are requirements for most civil engineering projects. After the basics have been covered, trainees are encouraged to bring in actual work projects (if allowed) in order to practice functionality learned in class.
