Prerequisite: Proficiency in AutoCADD.
Mechanical Design/Drafter, Engineer,
or Technical Background
This course is designed to expand and
enhance the student’s ability to
combine and apply Mechanical Desktop to
mechanical design/engineering projects.
The course covers all of the basic functionality
of Mechanical Desktop, including: working
with parts, creating profiles, splines
in profiles, advanced part techniques,
sculpting tools, 3D sweeps, lofts and drafts,
using surfaces to shape solids. Design
variables, equation in dimensions, table
driven parts, self check, assemblies, working
with assemblies, subassemblies, creating
part drawings, advanced views, working
with dimensions, tolerance modeling, assembly
drawings and bills of materials, working
with scenes, editing part data.
